The expected results of students’ learning activities are transferred to the left part of the program, they are necessary subject competencies, and at the same time correspond to the cross-cutting themes.

The content of the subject “Physical Culture” is formed by the educational institution independently from the variable modules. It is obligatory to include the means of theoretical and general physical training provided by the program for this class in each variable module. In grades 10-11, students must master 2-3 variable modules. Approximately the same number of hours is allotted for their mastering. The possibility of a motivated increase or decrease in the number of hours for studying individual modules is not excluded.

The availability of material and technical base, regional sports traditions, staffing and the desire of students are the criteria for selecting variable modules by the educational institution. Students’ wishes are determined by a mandatory written survey. The results of the survey are attached to the protocol of the school methodological association.

If necessary, within one variable module it is possible to master the educational material provided for two years of study.

In case of mastering two variable modules during one academic year and in case the year of studying the module does not correspond to the class of study (for example, in the 10th grade the basketball module is studied, the third year of study), the teacher must adjust the content of the variable module

According to the Instruction on the division of students into groups for physical education classes, approved by the order of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education and Science of 20.07.2009 for No. 518/674, students are divided into basic, preparatory and special medical groups.

Medical examination of students is conducted annually in the manner prescribed by law. Do not allow physical education classes to load students who have not passed a medical examination.

Students, regardless of their level of physical development and medical group, as well as temporarily exempted from physical activity, must be present in physical education classes. The allowable workload for students who belong to the preparatory and special medical groups due to their health condition is set by the physical education teacher.

Students receive homework for independent physical exercises in physical education lessons. They should be aimed at improving the motor regime in free time, achieving a recreational and health effect. In case of lag in the development of physical qualities, the teacher together with the student makes an individual program of physical culture and health classes, which indicates the task of classes, physical exercises, sequence of their performance, number of repetitions, rest intervals, means of self-control, marks on the task. Independent lessons according to the individual program provide the student with additional bonuses in assessing academic achievement.

When scheduling classes, it is not recommended to double physical education lessons or hold them two days in a row. Most physical education lessons should be held outdoors.

To assess the development of physical qualities, educational standards are used, which are developed for each year of study. Training standards are indicative. The order of their holding is determined by the teacher in accordance with the calendar-thematic planning.

When compiling the training standard, the level of achievements (initial, average, sufficient, high) is determined by its indicator, and then the scores are scored according to the technical indicators of motor action performance and theoretical knowledge.

Students who are in the health of the preparatory medical group are evaluated for theoretical and methodological knowledge, technique of performing exercises, drawing up appropriate standards, which are not contraindicated.

In the period from 01.09 to 01.10 of each school year in order to adapt students to the loads in physical education classes, the reception of educational standards is not carried out, and classes are recreational and recreational in nature with moderate loads.

Failure to comply with standards for reasons beyond the student’s control, disproportionate physical development, skipping classes for good reasons, is not a reason to reduce the final assessment of success.

When conducting physical education classes should follow the “Rules of life safety during physical education and sports classes in secondary schools” (order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine from 01.06.2010 No. 521, registered in the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on August 9, 2010 No. 651/17946).

With the provision of proper organizational and methodological conduct of the lesson, personality-oriented training, individual-dosed workload, discipline, condition of sports equipment and inventory, the vast majority of injuries can be prevented. At physical education lessons, sports events, systematically exercise visual control over the well-being of students, the technical condition of sports equipment and inventory. Places for physical education and sports are equipped with a first aid kit (outdoor sports grounds – a portable first aid kit).

Educational and methodological support recommended by the Ministry for use in educational institutions is listed in the Lists of curricula, textbooks and manuals posted on the official website of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (www.mon.gov.ua) and the website Institute for Modernization of Educational Content (www.imzo.gov.ua).
